Brian Wilcove joined the firm in 2006 as a Partner. Prior to joining Sofinnova, he spent five years at TeleSoft Partners, where he was responsible for a number of investments including BayPackets (acquired by GenBand), Calix, Internet Photonics (acquired by Ciena), LogLogic, OnFiber (acquired by Qwest), Tele Atlas (PO: TA.AS), and VoiceObjects. Earlier in his career, Brian was a co-founder of Virtela Communications, a managed communications services company, where he served as VP of Marketing and Business Development. Previously, Brian was responsible for Qwest's IP product portfolio, where he launched and managed the P&L of four business units. Brian began his career at AOL. He graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
